mandibular position affects the cervical spine alignment which I believe alters nerve flow. This hypothesis is based on the change in leg length seen once the appliance is in the mouth
any dental appliance that is changing the mandibular position should ideally be checked to ensure it is not disrupting the balance and harmony of the nervous system
